BISHOP KAKOBE IN DENMARK, AUGUST 2015
From August 21-25, 2015; Bishop Zachary Kakobe was in Copenhagen, Denmark for a Gospel Outreach, at the invitation of the Narrow Gate Church. Denmark is among the least religious countries in the world and possibly in the history of the world. According to a 2005 study, Denmark has the third highest proportion of atheists and agnostics in the world, estimated to be between 43% and 80%. Most of the typical Danes don’t believe that there is God and even don’t believe in the notion of “sin”. Church attendance is drastically low, that is between 1% and 4%, and even those who still identify themselves as Christians, show few of the signs of vital belief.
As in some other European countries, Denmark has a lot of empty
Churches that entrepreneurs and City officials have repurposed some of
them as skateboard parks, gymnastic training arenas, museums,
supermarkets, gyms and even bars. Gross depravity and immorality are the
order of the day in Denmark, a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah where
spiritual darkness pervades every alley and byway.
It is on these grounds that the Narrow Gate Church invited Bishop Zachary Kakobe at the young Church’s series of Revival Meetings, Conferences and Seminars; as the main Speaker, trainer and mentor who has vast experience in the field of Church Growth; to show the Church the way to how its Pastors, Elders, Deacons and other leaders can subdue and break down the strongholds of the Devil in Denmark and usher many souls into the Kingdom of God.
Commenting on the success of the Gospel Mission, Felix, the Senior Pastor, said, “His ministry has encouraged us and has given us new hope, it has stirred up the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us, and has shown us the way to overcoming the spiritual darkness in our City and Nation at large”.
